Albert Bethke

Albert William Bethke was born on November 27, 1908 to parents Robert and Agnes Bethke.

He married Elizabeth Marie Lein (born April 3, 1918) and they lived on King Avenue in Raspeburg, Maryland. He was employed by the Baltimore Brick Company, Yard #16, located on Philadelphia Road.

The 1940 Census lists Albert and Elizabeth residing with Elizabeth’s parents, George and Frances, along with their son, Albert, Jr., age 1. Albert’s occupation was listed as an excavator at a brick yard.

Agnes, shown in the center in this photo, was Albert’s mother. Henry Bethke and Albert Bethke were brothers.

The 1950 Census lists Albert (age 39) and Elizabeth (age 31) living on King Avenue, Box #400, on a farm. Albert’s work was as a power shovel operator at a brick factory.

Albert passed away December 1, 1993 and is buried at Gardens of Faith Cemetery.
