Ewaldine is the daughter of Anna de Vries and Ewart Martens.
She married Ottmar Timmer and they had two children:
- Ottmar
- Angelika
They lived on a farm and Ottmar was a milk truck driver.
Ewaldine Martens Timmer
Ewaldine wrote a letter to Hilda, dated February 15, 1974.
Dear Hilda and Family,
Today I received your nice letter, and the pretty picture from your daughter. She has wonderful hair, too bad I still don’t know what the letter said, but right now I have the time to answer your letter. The weather is very pretty over here, and everything is blooming. Today was big wash day, and that is a lot of work. Last week, we wallpapered the whole house, now everything is clean and neat looking again. Now the work on the outside begins, in the garden, vegetables and flowers for my birthday. I got a pretty bottle with plants of flowers in it, it sure looks pretty, don’t know if you have that too over there. It really looks good. How about the cost of oil and gasoline over there. Over here it is terrible expensive. So that is all for now, father is in good health. Greetings for all of you, stay healthy and also greetings for Bill.
