Gerd Jacobs de Vries was born March 17, 1901 to Lena Klover and Boelke de Vries. He was one of 9 children. Gerd married Berti (Berendina) Lenger (born May 22, 1898, died Sep 9, 1981) and they lived in Mecklenburg, Germany. They had three children: Bertha, Lenden and Gerda.
Gerd passed away March 25, 1980 and is buried at Neuer Friedhof Lammertsfehn in Filsum, Landkreis Leer, Lower Saxony, Germany. This is the newer of the two Lutheran cemeteries in Lammertsfehn. Berti is buried there also.
