Gerhardt Klöver, son of Gerd Jacobs Clöver and Anna Thomsen, born January 8, 1865 in Lammertsfehn. He is listed in a 1950 Address Book for Rotenburg, Germany.
It is unknown who his wife was. He had four children:
His daughter Annie (Anna) Pauline Klöver was born July 1,1890 in Rotenburg and sailed at the age of 21 on the ship Koeln from Bremerhaven on Aug 24, 1911, arriving at Baltimore on September 7, 1911. On the passenger list, she has her Uncle Julius Buttner as the family member she will be going to.. On April 17, 1917, she married Paul Wilhelm Bernhard Kadow (Born in Berlin Jan 22, 1892, emigrated Oct 1911, baker). Paul worked at Bethlehem Steel in 1942 and at that time they lived on Old Philadelphia Rd.
Anna and Paul had five children:
- Bernice, 1918, in Baltimore
- Margaret, 1919, in Baltimore
- Dorothy, 1923 at Stemmers Run
- Bernard, 1925 at Stemmers Run
- Elisabeth, 1929 at Stemmers Run
She died June 16, 1982 and is buried at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church. Paul passed away in 1982 also.
Gerhardt and his wife had three sons: Gerhardt, Herman and Fritz.
The 1920 Census shows Paul and Annie Kadow living in Baltimore City on Monument Street, South side, both age 28. Paul is a proprietor and works at a bakery. Bernice is age 2 and Margaret F. is 9 months old. Frances Jones was a lodger at the residence and did housework and worked at the bakery.
The 1930 Census shows Paul and Annie, age 38, living on Stemmers Run Road, renting and not on a farm. Paul is a heater working on at tin mill. Bernice is 12, Margaret is 11, Dorothy is 6, Bernard is 5, and Elizabeth is a few months old.
The 1940 Census shows Paul and Annie living on Old Philadelphia Road. Paul is working at the tin mill.
